Erasmus+ Mobility Press Release

In the period from Monday 2 and Saturday 7 September 2024 mobility took place in Karpenisi/Greece as part of the Erasmus+ "Climate Ambassadors in Action" program with program number 2023-1-HU01-KA210-SCH-000154521, with the participation of a total of 30 Teachers and Students from Hungary, Turkey and Greece.

The theme of the program is to increase the knowledge of the Participating Students and Teachers about the causes and consequences of climate change, the possibility of developing a positive attitude towards the issue and supporting the EU climate policy.

The implemented visits and actions were: Arkitsa Fthiotidas for bathing in the sea, Battlefield of Thermopylae, Asteroscholeio Ypatis to get to know the stars, Environmental program in the Plane tree forest of Gorgianados - Familiarization games, Composting Center of Gorgianades, environmental observations - exercises to connect with Nature - Center for History and Culture of Evrytania – 1st Gymnasium of Karpenisi – Kefalovryso – environmental information and dissemination of the program - Environmental program in Tornos – Folklore Museum of Tornos – Prousos Monastery – City of Karpenisi – Environmental Program in Domnista – Krikello – Starry Night at the Prophet Ilias Myrikis – Visit to the Acropolis of Athens (when the Teams return to Hungary and Turkey)

The Participants had the opportunity to come into direct contact with Greece, its special Nature, History and People thus contributing to the cultural and social contact of the Participants from the 3 countries.
